Old apartment buzzers dial exactly one phone number. BuzzMeBro gives the unit a local number that rings every resident at once — anyone presses 9, the door opens.

Contract check — a building whose panel digit is 6 hears: Buzzer. Six opens the door — nine works too. One to talk. Its residents are told to press six or nine.
